Of Stereoscopes and Pavilions

I’m very excited to announce that I will be giving two talks over the next couple of weeks. They will take place at Brighton Museum and Art Gallery and the Royal Pavilion in Brighton.

On 25 September, come along to Brighton Museum, where I’ll be bringing ‘early travel photography into focus’. Here, I’ll be investigating how the Victorians and Edwardians explored Egypt – in three glorious dimensions! This is one of Brighton Museum and Art Gallery’s fabulous series of ‘Bite-size Museum’ talks. If you’d like to come along, you can find out more details in my Facebook event, and, of course, on the Brighton Museum website here.

Then on 4 October, I’m kicking off the Pavilion Tales talk series, taking a look at the fantastic hand held panorama of Brighton on display outside the King’s Apartments at the Royal Pavilion. I’ve created a Facebook event for this too, which you can find here. You can find the full listing of Pavilion Tales and more information on the Royal Pavilion website here.
